repaint the |
Work was
performed during the annual company shutdown in late September through early
October.
The paint was custom matched to metal samples provided by the manufacturer of the
new cabinetry.
Where possible,
handles were removed, As a first step, the fronts of the doors and drawers were
painted in place with
the darker gray and allowed to dry overnight. The drawers were then removed the
following day and carefully set aside.
Hinge pins were
driven out of the door hinges and the doors carefully set aside. Pieces of
cardboard were cut on-site to mask
door openings and the internal area over
the top of any cabinets. Overspray was allowed into areas that would
eventually be
hidden by drawers, but rollers on the slide channels were
masked to prevent sticking. The frames, sides, and backs
were then painted
white. Masking was removed and the
components reassembled the following day.
