Slotless head for a smooth, finished appearance.
|
 |
Large diameter (.390/.360) low-profile head (.075/.060 thick
including serrations).
The large diameter head provides strong gripping pressure
while allowing adequate clearance in the
corners to secure side panels to
back panels.
The extremely
low-profile head allows these bolts to be used to secure loose doors
following replacement
of missing or worn bolts, or when new hinges have been
installed. They provide adequate clearance between
the locker frame
and the back edge of the closed door, unlike many large head bolts that
force the door out of
alignment by pressing against the inside of the
frame. This same low-profile allows use of these bolts to secure
replacement frame latches, this time providing clearance between the locker
frame and the edge of the door when
it closes.

 |
18 directional serrations on the reverse side of the head ease
installation while providing secure fastening
that won't vibrate
loose with normal use.

10-24 UNC-2A Thread. Accepts standard, readily available 10-24 x 3/8"
diameter hex nuts. Hex nuts are easily
started and tightened with a nut driver, unlike square nuts that require
tedious use of a small wrench.
|
 |
7/16" length from bottom of serrations to end of
bolt. The extra length provides a few
extra threads that are often
needed to get a nut started when
working with bent panels.

Heat treated for hardness. If you're currently buying
cheap bolts produced in Taiwan and are frustrated by the heads snapping off,
then these
are for you. You can tighten these down as much as you like.
