Let's
face it, office furniture usually doesn't wear out!
On the surface, it appears worn and shabby with stains, nicks, scratches, and mars
from everyday usage; but underneath it's still solid, with many years of service
left
. . . . if only you could improve the appearance.
An attractive, functional office is certainly important; but your company
has
better
things to do with it's hard earned money than spend it on new office furniture.
Replacing
your old office furniture is not only costly, but can also create chaos
in your workplace during the process.

Why
settle for worn furnishings. . . |
when
they could look like this. |

Electrostatic
Painting -
Our team of trained professionals; utilizing the electrostatic process,
will repaint your metal
desks, files, lab equipment, plant machinery, restroom partitions,
or
other metal surfaces on-site during off hours to minimize interruption of your normal
routines.
There is no need to empty most files and desks (lateral
files and supply cabinets are notable
exceptions due to their low structural strength in the base).
We use only the highest quality
epoxy paints
(please see disclaimer at bottom
of this page).
In addition to a wide array of standard colors; we can duplicate offerings from major furniture
manufacturers, or provide laser
color
matching for that special project. The application process
combines a
basic law
of electricity (that opposite charges attract) with an engineered coating,
to give each piece of furniture a "factory" finish. An
electrostatically applied epoxy finish is
extremely tough, while still retaining enough flexibility to resist chipping.
When the coating is thoroughly cured,
it's almost as tough as a baked-on factory finish. Epoxy finishes offer
superior moisture protection, chemical and abrasion resistance, and superb
color retention.

out of style; let us paint and
recover them to coordinate with your new or existing
furniture, carpeting,
wallpaper, etc. We can supply panel fabric from most major
suppliers or furniture manufacturers in an array or colors, textures, and grades.
We can also recover work station storage bins and tack boards.
As
with
electrostatic painting, all work is done on-site during off hours to minimize
interruption of your normal routines. Our crew will require only a small
work area;
and a place to securely store tools and materials while work is
underway.
Desk
and Table Cap Tops -
Our laminated wood and plastic "Cap Tops" are individually
custom fabricated to
fit snugly over your existing desk and table tops to complete your
office refurbishing project. Utilizing Wilsonart©

for Electrostatic Painting of Office Furniture:

Epoxy
can usually be applied only over a factory
finish or on furniture that has previously been refinished with epoxy.
When furniture has been repainted with non-epoxy finishes (industrial enamel, enamel, latex, etc.), we
are normally forced to use either an acrylic or regular enamel to avoid lifting the old
surface. Although still very hard; acrylic enamel is not as flexible as epoxy and therefore
may be more
prone to chipping. Much depends on the particular environment in which
your furniture is located. Regular enamel generally has the lowest
durability of the three. We advise customers of the product(s) we intend
to use when a quote is provided; however, in some cases last minute changes may
be required if lifting occurs after we begin work. Such changes are
normally discussed with the client before proceeding if a large portion of the
job is affected.
|
 |
Except
as noted in the next clause, Preferred Interiors Enterprises will guarantee its
work for a period of one year against peeling and fading when paint is
applied over a factory finish. Because of myriad conditions beyond our control, we cannot guarantee against
chipping. Adhesion cannot, and is not, guaranteed on previously repainted files due to
the fact we had no control over surface preparation, product application, or
the product itself during the previous painting processes.
|
 |
Repainting
of files cabinets that have been water damaged by flower pots, coffee pots,
etc. will be done on a "best efforts" basis. Client will
accept that a factory finish usually cannot be achieved in these
areas. Adhesion in these areas is not guaranteed whether factory
finish or not.
|
 |
Additionally,
please be advised that we do not have a product that will
"glue down" chipping or peeling paint due to poor surface preparation,
application techniques, or product selection during any previous repainting
process.
|
 |
Many
of the products Preferred Interiors Enterprises uses in the
refinishing process have strong odors which may be offensive to people in
the immediate and surrounding areas. Preferred Interiors Enterprises
discusses each particular project with the client and/or Building Manager
during the quoting process and again upon arrival at the job site; and tries
to schedule work in areas and at times which minimize potential
problems. Adjustment of ventilation and air conditioning may be
requested. A downtime charge of $500-1000 per day may be levied
if we are prevented from performing our duties while adhering to previously
agreed upon schedules and procedures.
|
 |
A
downtime charge of the same amount may also be levied if Preferred
Interiors Enterprises is denied access to the building in violation of
previously agreed upon scheduling and with no fault of its own; thus being
unable to perform contracted duties in a timely and efficient manner.
